Lia was with her friends walking around Seaport Village. Lia looked around her surroundings to see a wooden statue of a pirate in front of a gift shop. He looked too fierce to be in front of a sea shell store and Lia felt sorry for the poor pirate being stuck in a tourist trap. She went back to talking and laughing with her friends while a pair of wooden eyes followed her every move as she came closer and closer to his spot.
He watched as she smiled at someone's comment out of the corner of his eye and got ready. Lia passed by him without so much as a look in his direction. Then suddenly she was wrenched back into his wooden arms. He saw her gasp in alarm at being caught in something and looked up to see the statue's eyes gleaming down at her intensely.
Lia looked down and laughed a nervous laugh at her silly imagination for she saw that her shorts had been caught on his hook by mistake. She quickly wrenched them away from his hard hands and walked away. He watched her go with that seem evil gleam in his eye until she disappeared from sight.
